In other news, I've been engulfed in Doctor Who all day.
Today was the US premier of part 2 of the Doctor Who episode that would say farewell to David Tennant's Doctor Who forevermore.
On BBC America, they replayed Season 4 all day and the in-between episodes (in-between the end of season 4 and the start of season 5,) of which I only watched one episode - I've already seen 'em.
Then, at 5:45pm, CST, I watched Doctor Who: The End of Time Part 1, Doctor Who: The David Tennant Special and then finally Doctor Who: The End of Time Part 2.
The good Doctor Who is an alien called a Time Lord, and when his body is, shall we say, in need of repair, he regenerates, which makes him change his entire image and personality. He's the same person, memories and all, but with a change in face and mode.
Tennant's turn in the spotlight ended very well, in my opinion. His oldest enemies - himself and his past - were overcome, ending with the knowledge that all ended as it should have.
Now, I can't tell you much without explaining most of the whole series, but I can tell you this: this new Doctor has some large shoes to fill.
I've loved watching Tennant's "The Tenth Doctor" for over three seasons, now. The new, regenerated Doctor #11 will, granted, take some getting used to, but I'm sure he'll follow through with brilliance and humour.
I didn't see the first half of the last episode so I was really confused by what happened, but it's sort of been cleared up now... I guess. XP »randomjunk on 2010-01-03 03:01:28
Ahhh I haven't talked to you in forever! How is life??
I remember watching some Doc Who clips and then some of the spinoffs (torchwood?). The only thing I can really remember is the one about the TARDIS being stuck on some Impossible Planet or something weird like that...and then the Doc has to confront satan? It was pretty interesting. »The-Muffin-Man on 2010-01-03 05:05:18
