Currently Reading What I'm listening to | Oops, I did it again... Tuesday. 8.4.15 So I didn't blog again before I left. And I've been back for about three weeks, now. 'Bout time I wandered back over here, eh?
TANZANIA After a couple weeks in TZ, Tim and I visited his parents who pastor a church in Belgium. We even went with them when they took their youth group kids to a camp in Grindelwald, Switzerland. The Swiss Alps are GORGEOUS. My only regret this whole trip is, while I didn't take very many pictures anywhere, I didn't take ANY pictures in Switzerland. In Grindelwald, we hiked about here and there, saw the Trümmelbach Falls, walked by a gorge, and took a train to the Top of Europe. The whole thing was fantastic and beautiful. In Belgium, we went to De Halve Maan brewery in Bruge, and walked around downtown. One day we went to Zeebrugge and I saw the North Sea. We drove into a small town just inside the Netherlands border for lunch one afternoon. It was all quite quaint. And the beer was really good.
So now I'm back from all that, searching for a place to live. For now I'm at my parents' place, but am itching to get back to the city. It's been three weeks, now, and still haven't really found a place yet. And I'm tired of looking. :/ I've looked at and applied for a couple places, but they've both been leased to another before I could barely get my foot in the door. Classes start in just under three weeks: I just hope to be moved and settled by then. Did you like it? Recommend it! 5 Comments. Good luck in your housing search! I hope you find something soon. It's stressful when you're under time pressure. : » randomjunk on 2015-08-04 06:58:59 Wow What a cool trip! There's a guy in my church who's known for traveling all over the world and speaking at our sister churches or at universities and the like. He just got back from a trip to Tanzania. He seemed really encouraged by the Christians there. I was in Paris (and a few other cities) for basically the entire month of June. But I'm back now! It was a good trip. I should probably update soon haha. » middaymoon on 2015-08-11 03:43:46 I know it sounds weird but if you don't think about that part too deeply then you actually get really immersed in the story. » randomjunk on 2015-08-21 06:32:24 Wow, your trip sounds incredible!! What a cool adventure! » Zanzibar on 2015-08-23 12:20:09 Where did you stay while you were in TZ? Was it a hotel or with your friend? We started some jump rope programs down there and one of the kids actually lives with us in Seattle now. Pretty cool » The-Muffin-Man on 2016-02-01 02:58:00
